We are now in the process of drafting paragraphs from notes on the three page outline I gave you.

Drafting

1. Complete the First/Introductory paragraph on loose-leaf paper.  Use your notes on the first page of the outline.  We began this in class.
2. Do second and third paragraphs on loose-leaf from the information you already wrote :

Para.#2         A. Name and discuss at least 2 early experiences (important ones)
                           and use at least one quote for each.  Put page # after quote
Para.#3         B. Write about how the two early experiences impacted on Douglass's later life.
                            Use a quote that shows the impact on his later life.

Freewriting

1.  Go back to your 3 sheets and free-write your response to The Goals of Douglass on the top of page 2.  Think of at least two goals and tell why he was successful at them/what did he do to achieve them?
