Work for 29 October 2013

The next story is Poe's The Cask of Amontillado.  Read it to get an idea of the story and then answer the questions below.  ( You should have a copy of this sheet from class.)


 An Imaginative Story

An imaginative story is writing that is created or invented by the writer. It is a story that is not based on true facts.

Key Elements

Setting: When and where does the story take place?
Over what period of time? 

 Character(s): Who are  the people that are important
in the story?  List them and describe what you already know about them. 

Problem: What problems or challenges do/does the main
characters (or character)   in the story face?  

 Events: What steps does the main character take to solve the problem?

 How is the problem resolved?
